July 20, 2022:

OMS is working on a revised COVID-19 Safety Plan to reflect the latest public health guidelines for the upcoming year of in-person events. The organizational safety plan will be designed to respect personal preferences while ensuring the safety of our attendees and team members.

We continue to recommend that our community members be up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccinations as vaccines provide the best protection against the latest circulating coronavirus strains. Please continue to practice empathy and follow the latest public health guidelines.

November 29, 2021:
The organizational COVID-19 Safety Plan has been approved. All in-person OMS events and gatherings will require the following:

  1. Proof of vaccination is required for entry. All attendees and team members must be fully vaccinated.
  2. Face coverings (e.g. non-medical masks) must be properly worn for the duration of the event and gathering.
  3. All attendees and team members will be screened for illness. Anyone that is unwell will not be permitted entry.
  4. All attendees and team members will provide contact information during the check-in process in the case contact tracing is needed.
  5. All OMS events and gatherings will adhere to the latest local and regional COVID-19 public health guidelines.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide any updates as required.

September 1, 2021:
OMS is anticipating a potential return to in-person events this year. To ensure the safety of all attendees and team members, an organizational COVID-19 Safety Plan will be developed in accordance with the latest local and regional public health guidelines. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and adjust our plans as needed.

All refund requests have been processed. We greatly appreciate your patience as we worked through the unprecedented volume of requests.

May 12, 2020:
We understand that the cancellation of our conferences is disappointing news for our attendees. Our city teams are diligently planning webinars and other online events on exciting topics in the field of medicine. Please continue to check our social media pages for the latest announcements on our virtual events.

March 13, 2020:
To safeguard the well-being of our attendees and team members, OMS will be indefinitely suspending all in-person events in our five conference cities (Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, and New York). We will be issuing refunds to all attendees that have previously registered for our events. Please note that an administrative fee of $0.30 (CAD or USD) will apply to all refund requests due to PayPal’s processing fees for refunds.

Please contact hello@operationmedschool.com to initiate a refund request. To ensure a prompt reply from us, please include “Refund Request” and the name of the conference city in the title for your email.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to follow the recommended health practices from their local health authorities and practice social distancing.
