Operation Med School (OMS) is a not-for-profit, student-run organization that organizes and hosts conferences in various cities in Canada and the United States
tailored towards passionate students aspiring to become the next generation of healthcare providers.
At OMS, attendees will discover various topics in healthcare through informative keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and engaging activities led by physicians, surgeons, biomedical researchers, and other professionals within the realms of medicine and healthcare.
OMS is entirely run by students on two levels—the individual conferences and the organization.

In Canada, we currently have conferences in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, and Victoria. In the United States, we have conferences in New York. We will be gradually expanding into more cities across North America.
If you are interested in starting a conference in your city, please email your proposal to hello@operationmedschool.com. Please use “Proposal for New OMS Conference in (city name)” as the title for your email to ensure a prompt reply from us.
We advise attendees to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the event for registration. Please also account for traffic and finding parking in your transport time.
As we host professional events at public venues, we ask that attendees wear clothing with no inappropriate logos or phrases. You will be asked to leave if you fail to comply.
There is no age requirement, but you do need to be a student. Photo Identification from your educational institution will be required if prompted by an OMS Team Member.
First of all, you can attend any one of our conferences! Most of our team members have attended our conferences before they applied to join our team.
If you are a high school student in any of the cities we currently have conferences, check our application portal after a conference as we will be posting applications for high school students to join city teams. Typically, applications will be open between June to August. Announcements will be posted on our website and social media platforms.

Refunds will only be electronically processed up to two weeks prior to the conference via PayPal. An administrative fee of $0.30 (CAD or USD) will apply to all refund requests due to PayPal’s processing fees for refunds.
Please contact hello@operationmedschool.com to initiate a refund request. To ensure a prompt reply from us, please include “Refund Request” and the name of the conference city in the title for your email.

OMS has an organization-wide COVID-19 Safety Plan in place that is regularly updated to reflect the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations from local public health authorities.
